Namero is a country-side dish from Japan. Made of raw salmon, okra and a few other ingredients, it is supposed to be a healthy dish. Without cooking, it makes the dish fresh and full of nutrients. I have to thank my Japanese chef friend who made me this dish the other day.

Looks like Coca-Cola is a good christmas drink for it is red, a favourite for Christmas

Melbourne's NGV is an interesting place for people who loves arts and exhibitions, it is usually displays free exhibitions and is open to public.

Roti Jala

Roti Jala translated directly to english means "net bread". It is called that because it looks like a net. This guy makes it look quite easy. 

Crazy Wings

This is what my friend got through before running back to the restaurant and drink a million cups of water. After which, she went to buy lots of sweets to remove the taste of the chicken all together.

This is a BBQ chicken from the shop called Crazy Wings in Melbourne. It is a BBQ store from Beijing that specializes in BBQ and their speciality being "crazy wings" are what I would not consider food.

Couch surfers

This was my first couch-surfers event that I went to. It was a BBQ party at Darling Park in Clifton Hill. What happens is all the couch-surfers, hosts and guests, gather and make the international travellers feel welcomed.

I would like to thank my friend for bringing me there even though I have not gotten about to signing up.

Footprints

Wherever you go you leave behind footprints. But just like this one, it is the thing of the past. Good to look back at it and learn or try to relive it, however, it is no longer as when you were there before. So it is good to always live in the present for the footprints will fade just like these prints of the gulls.

Sunflower Seeds

I have always wondered how sunflower seeds looks when it is on the plant. Little did I know that it is this big.

My first pumpkin carving

This is my first pumpkin carving. It may look hard but it is actually relatively easy. All you need is a pumpkin, pen, knifes, spoon and some spare time in hand.

Firstly you need to cut the top off with a large knife. Next you would need to clean out the pumpkin with a spoon until it is fairly smooth inside. Next you take the pen and outline your desired shapes for the   face. You then use a smaller knife and cut those out. To finish off, you then put some lights in and it is ready for Halloween

This is a dish you can get in the restaurant Society in Melbourne CBD along Bourke Street. It is interesting as it is cooked two styles making it more interesting

Country side India

Spotted a van with many bags in the country side in India. Guess this is a well to do family that can afford a van to transport the school bags as compared to some who has to take the bus.

The Black Berry has always been a classic professional's mobile phone due to its innovation and advanced technology. However, in recent times, there has been a lot of new comers to the market such as Apple and Google to name a few. Will the BlackBerry die out?

Duck costume

I noticed a duck costumed person watching a tennis match at the Australian Open this year. What is the purpose of the costume? That I do not understand.

This is the set meal at Kappaya, Abbotsford Convent. It is priced at $12. 2 sushi roles and 2 mains. Set in a beautiful convent, it has a great settings to accompany the meal with.

This is the skyline of Singapore. Since today is Diwali, Festival of Lights, I thought I would put up a picture full of lights.

It is also during this time that the devotees worship the goddess of wealth Lakshmi. May the goddess bless us all. =)

Kayak

Kayak - Went for a pretty easy level 1 rapids near Nunawading, Victoria along the Yarra River. It is a good place to go for some fun and not too far away from Melbourne. Apparently if you follow the river, it can lead you all the way to Southbank area.

Max Brenner's waffle with the lot is quite a good way to finish a meal. Packed with the healthy stuff and the indulgent stuff, it is a good balance. =)

Der Raum

This is the scene at Der Raum, Richmond. It is voted one of the best cocktail bars in the world. The bottles and all hangs from the ceiling on top of the bar.

Compassion

Love the message they are trying to get across to the general public. It is something people should have more of. This was shot in a small town along to way back to Melbourne from the Great Ocean Road.

Sometimes I wonder what it is like to be working as a performer. It seems as if you need a lot of new skills to awe the crowd. However, if it is what you like doing, it is as if you weren't working.

Tiramisu

This tiramisu from the European at Melbourne CBD's east  Spring Street is one of the best you can get in Melbourne. Also their sticky date pudding and many other dishes are very good. If you ever are in the city and crave a good dessert, look for it opposite Parliament.

Docklands, Webb Bridge

The Webb Bridge can be found near the ANZ office at Docklands. It is quite an interesting bridge.

Quan Ju De (全聚德)

Quan Ju De, pronounced "Kwan Jude" by the "gui lao", is the world famous Beijing Duck restaurant. It is so hard to make that even Heston Blumenthal find it a challenge to replicate in his BBC's "In Search for Perfection".

Transparent fish

This fish was seen at the Melbourne Aquarium, which is near Crown Casino in Melbourne. It is a transparent fish which makes it skeleton visible to you. I find it pretty interesting and wonder how does this feature help the fish.

Tea time

If you are interested in tea with scones, it is good to visit Heidelberg, Victoria as there is a famous doll museum that serves scones with tea there.

It also has localized some of its scones by adding vegemite and some other local produce to the scones. The design and ambience adds character to the museum.

Beware of the trams

This is what happens when you are on a tram on a day when they are fixing the lines, tracks or whatever else. A long line with very patient commuters in it.

The places in between

The places in between is a design architecture created for the Melbourne Jazz Festival in 2010. What does it mean? Too complex for my simple mind but I like the simplicity of the design

Lesson learnt

This is what you get when you purchase second hand and not inspect properly. It is also paired with the overconfidence that I am able to fix it myself, only to find out that I have completed wrecked it.

The seafarers bridge can be found connecting Docklands precinct with South Wharf, where the Melbourne Convention Centre is.

Discrepancy: Light bulb

It is fascinating to see that even people who manage a mall can make the mistaken of installing the wrong-colored light bulb. However, it makes the place more interesting than usual.

Destructive hailstorm

This is what could happen to your car if it happens to be out in the open during one of the hails in Melbourne. In fact it was so bad in 2010 that it caused the insurance companies a lot of losses as they had to write most insured cars off.
