Duck costume

I noticed a duck costumed person watching a tennis match at the Australian Open this year. What is the purpose of the costume? That I do not understand.

This is the set meal at Kappaya, Abbotsford Convent. It is priced at $12. 2 sushi roles and 2 mains. Set in a beautiful convent, it has a great settings to accompany the meal with.

This is the skyline of Singapore. Since today is Diwali, Festival of Lights, I thought I would put up a picture full of lights.

Kayak

Kayak - Went for a pretty easy level 1 rapids near Nunawading, Victoria along the Yarra River. It is a good place to go for some fun and not too far away from Melbourne. Apparently if you follow the river, it can lead you all the way to Southbank area.

Max Brenner's waffle with the lot is quite a good way to finish a meal. Packed with the healthy stuff and the indulgent stuff, it is a good balance. =)

Der Raum

This is the scene at Der Raum, Richmond. It is voted one of the best cocktail bars in the world. The bottles and all hangs from the ceiling on top of the bar.

Compassion

Love the message they are trying to get across to the general public. It is something people should have more of. This was shot in a small town along to way back to Melbourne from the Great Ocean Road.

Tiramisu

This tiramisu from the European at Melbourne CBD's east  Spring Street is one of the best you can get in Melbourne. Also their sticky date pudding and many other dishes are very good. If you ever are in the city and crave a good dessert, look for it opposite Parliament.

Docklands, Webb Bridge

The Webb Bridge can be found near the ANZ office at Docklands. It is quite an interesting bridge.

Quan Ju De (全聚德)

Quan Ju De, pronounced "Kwan Jude" by the "gui lao", is the world famous Beijing Duck restaurant. It is so hard to make that even Heston Blumenthal find it a challenge to replicate in his BBC's "In Search for Perfection".

Transparent fish

This fish was seen at the Melbourne Aquarium, which is near Crown Casino in Melbourne. It is a transparent fish which makes it skeleton visible to you. I find it pretty interesting and wonder how does this feature help the fish.
