Tessellated pavement

At first sight, the view reminds me of paddy fields being newly planted and awaiting the harvest season. However, with the sea at the background, it would be a disaster if it was really a paddy field.

The is a tessellated pavement, a natural rock formation found in sites like these where erosion and cracks might happen causing the rocks to form different shapes.
